The 5 Best Pizzas in the World
Pizza is one of the world’s most beloved foods, and with so many variations and styles, it’s hard to narrow down the best of the best. But after much research and taste-testing, here are my top 5 favorite pizzas in the world:
- Margherita Pizza from Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, Arizona – This simple, classic pizza is made with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil, and it’s cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The crust is crispy and chewy, and the toppings are perfectly balanced.
- Pepperoni Pizza from Di Fara Pizza in Brooklyn, New York – This legendary pizzeria is known for its long lines and amazing pizza. The pepperoni pizza is a standout, with a crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce, and high-quality pepperoni.
- Salsiccia Pizza from Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles, California – This pizza is topped with housemade fennel sausage, tomato sauce, and mozzarella, and it’s cooked in a wood-burning oven until the crust is perfectly charred. The combination of flavors is unbeatable.
- Marinara Pizza from L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele in Naples, Italy – This historic pizzeria is known for its traditional Neapolitan pizza, and the Marinara pizza is a standout. It’s made with San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, oregano, and olive oil, and it’s cooked in a wood-fired oven until the crust is soft and chewy.
- Prosciutto Pizza from Pizzeria Beddia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – This pizza is topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto, and arugula, and it’s cooked in a wood-fired oven until the crust is crispy and charred. The combination of salty prosciutto and peppery arugula is a match made in heaven.
Honorable mentions: Pizza Margherita from Pizzeria Sorbillo in Naples, Italy, White Pizza from Sally’s Apizza in New Haven, Connecticut, and Deep Dish Pizza from Lou Malnati’s in Chicago, Illinois.
If you’re a pizza lover, these pizzerias are not to be missed. What are your favorite pizzas? Let me know in the comments!
